10″ Strawberry Rhubarb
Ingredients: Strawberries, Rhubarb, Flour, Butter, Sugar, Tapioca, Salt.
If you are planning to eat your pie today you can go ahead and keep it out of the fridge in a cool, dry place. If you are going to eat it tomorrow or a few days from now, just put it in the fridge. Fruit pies will last about a week and custard based pies will last 4-5 Days.
If you decide to serve your pie warm put it in the oven at 300 for 10 minutes or so.
1.Wrap you pie completely in plastic wrap or seal it in an airtight freezer bag and place it in the freezer.
2.When preparing to serve pre-heat your oven to 300º.
3.Remove pie from freezer and unwrap it.
4.Brush off any frost from the top of the pie.
5.Place the pie on a baking sheet and put it in the oven.
6.Baking times: 5" Pie:15-30 min. 7"Pie: 30-50 min. 10" Pie 40-70 min.
7.Baking times will vary from one oven to another. To check if your pie is ready insert a knife in the center, remove and check the temperature of the knife tip with your finger. Once it is warm your pie is ready.
8.Cool & serve.
